Dragon Fire Ballistic Goggles - Anti-Fog G-15
%% PRODUCTQUANTITY %% available
Edge Eyewear is committed to the highest level of eye safety. This serious responsibility requires rigorous testing to ensure compliance with the highest national standards. Every pair of Edge eyewear is subjected to the toughest tests - because rigorous testing creates strong eyewear. When it comes to something as precious as vision, we wouldn't produce anything less than the best.
Edge Eyewear became the first company to successfully produce ANSI-compliant polarized safety lenses. There are two methodologies for manufacturing polarized lenses. One method, called “thermoforming” or “heat stamping,” has never produced polarized film lenses that are strong or thick enough to withstand the intense impact tests required by ANSI Z87+ and MCEPS standards. Polycarbonate lenses, which contain ionized crystals that filter light in a similar way to polarized film, but leave the lenses thick enough to withstand the intense impact standards required by ANSI Z87+ and military MCEPS standards.
All Edge Eyewear glasses are tested in independent COLTS laboratories for compliance with:
*ANSI Z87.1+2010
*Military Ballistic MCEPS GL-PD 10-12
VAPOR SHIELD Anti-Fog Lens G-15: A great lens for a variety of brightness conditions. Like all Edge Eyewear, the GH-15 lens provides 99.9% UVA/UVB/UVC protection. 15% of the total light passes through this lens.
* G-15: The U.S. Air Force developed this specialized technology used in aviator lenses in the 1950s. Through extensive experiments with the light spectrum, it was determined that the transmission of green and yellow light could be maximized at 550 nanometers (the two colors most readily perceived by the human eye). The result is a neutral and realistic perspective, resulting in a noticeably cooler feeling to the eyes. Edge Eyewear is the first company to offer a safety-rated G-15 lens.
